Most of the pepper chicken recipes which I have seen is without gravy. So this time when I thought of making this dish I wanted it to have a little more gravy . So I modified it a bit .

Hot and spicy pepper chicken

 

Ingredients
•Whole chicken( cut into small pieces)-1kg
•Pepper-2tsp
•Chilly powder-1tsp
•Eastern chicken masala-1tsp
•Garlic( chopped)-11/2 tbsp
•Ginger( chopped)-1 1/2tbsp
•Onion (thinly sliced)-3(medium size)
•Tomato-2(medium size )
•Green chillie-3
•Curry leaves-2sprigs
•Oil-1 1/2tbsp
•Salt to taste

Method
•Grind the tomatoes into paste and keep aside
•Heat oil in a wok and add the sliced onion and after a minute add the curry leaves and sauté till the onion turns golden brown
•Now add the chopped ginger and garlic and sauté for couple of minutes.
•Now add the powdered masalas and sauté for 2to 3minutes (till the raw smell of the masalas go)
•Then add the puréed tomatoes sauté till the oil turns out
•Add the chicken and salt and green chillies and stir till everything is  blended evenly .
•Pour two cups of luke warm water and cook till the chicken is done.
