My eldest sister (Asha) is a very good cook. She cooks traditional Kerala dishes fantastically. I have learned so much dishes from her. This is one of the dish which I learned from her.
Chicken Kerala (nadan) style
Ingredients
• Chicken-1kg (cut into 8pieces)
• Ginger(2inch piece)-1
• Garlic -1pod
• Shallots-1/4cup
• Coriander powder-3tsp
• Chili powder-1 1/2tsp
• Garam masala powder-1tsp
• Pepper powder-1tsp
• Turmeric powder1tsp
• Coconut milk (thick)-1cup
• Salt to taste
• Onion -2(medium size)
• Potato-1medium size
• Curry leaves 2sprigs
• Coconut oil -half cup
Method
• Grind ginger garlic and shallots along with all the masala powders.
• Cook the chicken with the ground masalas and coconut milk.
• In a pan, fry the onions which is thinly cut, to golden brown and keep aside.
• Fry the curry leaves and the potatoes which is cut into wedges and keep aside.
• Take out the chicken pieces and fry it in batches to light brown and keep aside.
• Put the onions and the gravy to the pan and stir it till the oil turns out.
• Add the fried chicken and stir it for 2min and take out into a serving bowl and garnish with potato wedges and curry leaves

looks so yumm..... forgot the last time that i had a proper home cooked meal and its getting me really hungry... too good....
