Butter Mushroom Potato Masala

This Vegetarian Dish is easy and yummy. It goes well with Puris Batturas and Chappatis.
 
Once we went to Restaurant we ordered this dish and all of us liked it .I went home and tried recreating it and it became a success. Here is the recipe
 
 
 
Butter Mushroom Potato Masala:
 
Ingredients:
  • Mushroom: 250gm.
  • Potato: 1 Medium (150 – 200 gm.) (Cubed and cooked with little salt)
  • Onion: 2 Medium size
  • Ginger: 1.5 tbsp. (chopped)
  • Garlic: 1.5 tbsp. (chopped)
  • Tomato: 2 Medium
  • Chili Powder: 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder: 0.5 tsp.
  • Garam Masala: 0.5tsp
  • Kasuri Mehti 1tsp.
  • Coconut milk powder(thick)- 1.5 cups
  • Butter: 1 tbsp.
  • Oil: 2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
 
Method:
 
  • Microwave the chopped onion for 5 min
  • In a wok add oil and sauté the cooked onion for another 2min then add ginger and garlic sauté again for another 2min or so (till the raw smell goes)
  • Add chili powder, turmeric powder and sauté for2-3 min
  • Add tomatoes and sauté till it get mashed
  • Add kasuri methi and garam masala sauté for 30 sec.s
  • Switch off the gas and when it gets cold coarsely grind it and keep aside
  • In the same wok sauté the cooked potato using butter for 2-3 min and add mushroom and sauté for 1-2 min add the ground masala  and cook for another 3min (make sure the masala doesn’t get burn)
  • Now add the coconut milk and when it boil switch off the gas and transfer it to a serving plate
