Orange Chocolate Marble Cake
I wanted to add this recipe long before but on a second
thought waited till the 100th recipe. This super moist cake is a
match made in heaven with the flavors of both orange and chocolate. I made it
in a 10 inch Bundt cake pan. The amount given in this recipe gives you 12
servings.
Ingredients
·
All-purpose flour-1 ¾ cup
·
Baking powder-3/4 tsp.
·
Baking powder -3/4 tsp.
·
Salt -1/4 tsp.
·
Granulated sugar-1 ¼ cup
·
Butter -1 cup
·
Egg -3 Nos.
·
Curd-1 cup
·
Vanilla Essence-1tsp.
·
Orange essence-1tsp.
·
Orange Zest-2tbsp.
·
Orange juice-6tbsp.
·
Dark chocolate-30g
Method
·
Preheat oven at 150 degree Celsius.
·
Powder the sugar and keep aside ¼ cup. Add the rest with butter taken in a big bowl.
·
Using an electric beater beat it till light and
fluffy.
·
Add the eggs one by one and beat it again.
·
Now mix the vanilla essence and then the curd.
·
Add the flour little by little and take out half
of the batter another bowl.
·
Melt the chocolate using double boil technique
and add this to one of the batter while it is warm and not very hot.
·
Add 2 tbsp of the orange juice, orange essence
and zest to the other batter.
·
Now grease a 10 inch Bundt cake pan and put half
a cup of each batter alternatively, until all the batter gets over.
·
Using a fork give a zig zag design on the batter
and bake it in the hot oven for 40 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted comes
out clean.
·
Boil the rest of the orange juice with quarter
cup sugar and pour it over the hot cake and keep the cake for cooling on a wire
rack.
