Chocolate Ducats
Chocolate ducats can be used as a snack or a dessert. It is very easy to make it but needs 12 hours of refrigeration time. So you can start making it a day ahead. With the given amount you will get 30-35 ducats.
Ingredients
- Marie or nice bisuits-300g
- Semi-sweet chocolate-80g
- Butter (softened)-100g
- Granulated sugar-1 cup
- Egg-1
- Unsweetened cocoa powder-1/2 cup
- Cold milk- about 3tbsp.
Method
- Crush cookies taken in a plastic bag using a rolling pin into chopped nut size pieces.
- Melt chocolate by double boiling it.
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy and add the egg and mix well.
- Add melted cocoa, cocoa powder, cookie crumbs and enough milk (just enough to make it to a firm dough).
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Take out and shape it into a roll (about 5cm in diameter).
- Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for another 12 hours.
- Remove the cling film and cut it into a centimeter thick slices, decorate the ducats and serve.
