Shanghai chicken
This is an easy side dish that goes well with fried rice or
noodles.
Ingredients
·
Chicken cut into small pieces-1kg
·
Oil-3tbsp.
·
Chopped garlic-6 cloves
·
Chopped ginger-1” piece
·
Chopped green chillies-5
·
Chopped spring onion-3(keep the bulb and leaves
separately)
·
Soya sauce-1tbsp.
·
For marinating
·
Ginger garlic paste-2tsp
·
Soya sauce-1tbsp
·
Salt to taste
Method
·
Add soya sauce, ginger garlic paste and enough
salt to the chicken pieces and keep aside for 2hours.
·
Heat oil in a wok, add chopped ginger and garlic.
·
After a minute, add chopped green chilies and
bulb of spring onion, turn the gas to high and stir for another minute.
·
Then add the marinated chicken pieces and stir
for five minutes.
·
Turn the gas to a low flame, close the lid and
stir now and then till the chicken is cooked.
·
Garnish with spring onion leaves, serve hot with
fried rice or noodles
