Lemon bar
 
Lemon is an item which I take whenever I go to the super market. I love lemon a lot. Lemon bar can be either used as a snack or as a dessert.

 
 
Ingredients
For the crust
·         All-purpose flour (Maida)-1 ¼ cup
·         Sugar -1 ½ tbsp...
·         Butter- ½ cup
 For the filling
·         Egg (slightly beaten)-3
·         Flour – 2 tbsp. (heaped)
·         Sugar-1 ¼ cup
·         Lemon zest-1 tsp.
·         Lemon juice-2 tbsp.
Powdered sugar-for dusting on top
Method
·         Add all the ingredients for the crust mix it with fingers until crumbly (like bread crumbs).
·         Press this on a baking dish (10”x7”x2”) which is sprayed with nonstick cooking spray firmly.
·         Bake this for 20 minutes at 180 degree Celsius till it’s slightly brown on top.
·         Meanwhile add all the ingredients for the filling and beat it gently with a fork until it is mixed properly.
·         Pour it on the crust and bake for another 20 minutes. (Till a tooth pick pricked in the middle comes out clean)
·         Dust the powdered sugar evenly on top.
·         Cut square or rectangular pieces of lemon bars and serve.
